THE SERVICE, EXPLAINED
Investigate damage before treating the furnishings.
A hole in fabric deserves a closer look before anyone decides which insect caused it. Show us the item and its original position, along with any larvae, cases or adult insects noticed nearby. The material and surrounding evidence help distinguish a fabric-pest enquiry from wear or a different problem; damage alone is not a reliable identification.
We examine accessible edges and relevant furnishings rather than assume every textile is affected. Clothes moth larvae can damage animal-derived materials, while other insects may produce a different pattern of evidence. That is why the inspection considers the pest as well as the damaged item. Rodent signs or concerns around sleeping areas elsewhere still need their own assessment.
Treatment follows the findings and the contents of the room. We explain whether targeted insect work, rodent control or further monitoring is appropriate, and where it would be carried out. Delicate belongings and fixed furniture can change how the area is reached. Any cleaning or restoration requiring a specialist is kept separate from the pest-control recommendation.
Ask before moving affected textiles into another room or arranging a general clearance. Preparation should make the relevant source accessible while keeping the evidence understandable. Tell us who will use the space and follow the restrictions for the chosen method. Afterwards, record fresh damage or insects at specific locations rather than judge the result from old holes that cannot disappear. A review can then consider new activity and any outstanding access needs without mistaking historic damage for continuing infestation.
