Understand the problem before changing the room
A pest discovery can prompt a rapid clear-out, but it is worth pausing to record the original position. Tell us what you found and whether it has happened again. If there is a photograph, keep it. We also need to know about sprays or other measures already tried, because they can change what is visible at inspection.
We examine the relevant accessible parts of the property and consider the suspected pest. For rodents, signs and potential routes are important. Insect investigations may focus on furniture, stored materials or another suitable harbourage. A wasp report calls for an assessment of the activity and location rather than an indoor search by default.
The findings lead to a recommendation. That may be treatment, monitoring or further identification. Where control is appropriate, we explain the method, the spaces involved and the preparation that will make the work possible. We also discuss occupants and pets before choosing any product or arrangement that affects room use.
The handover should leave you with practical information. We explain the relevant aftercare, any follow-up included and the maintenance points worth addressing. If another person controls a shared area or repair, we identify that dependency. This prevents the immediate treatment from being confused with work elsewhere that has not yet been arranged. Keep photographs that show the surrounding area as well as the close detail. A recognisable position helps us relate the sign to the room, especially when the item has been removed before the inspection can actually take place.
