Treat what is active and understand what supports it
Tell us whether the concern began inside or outside and what you have seen since. A photograph and a brief timeline are helpful. We want to understand the actual observation, not ask you to decide the species from a noise or distant glimpse. Mention previous attempts to control it as well.
We inspect the relevant accessible areas and look for signs of activity. For rodents, the relationship between shelter, food and a possible route is important. For insects, the affected material and hiding places may be more informative. Repeated wasp activity at a fixed point needs its own approach, including consideration of height and safe access.
We explain the recommended control before proceeding. Suitable traps, baiting or insect methods depend on the pest and setting; none is chosen simply because the property has a garden or stands near open land. Occupants, pets and other animals are part of the practical assessment, along with the normal use of the space.
After the work, we discuss the instructions that support it. These may concern cleaning, observation or a relevant repair. Prevention advice should be specific enough to use and should respect the building's requirements. If another trade needs to assess a feature, we say so. Follow-up is then based on the agreed arrangement and fresh information, rather than a promise made before the problem was understood. Photographs of the original sign are helpful when available, especially if cleaning has changed the area before the appointment and removed some of the visible detail.
