PestTech 2014 is a popular event aimed at UK pest control services and enthusiasts. Bringing technicians and distributors together, it is the largest one-day pest control exhibition in all of Europe with more than a thousand attendees.

The event was first held in 1993 with the clear idea to provide a place and time for open dialogue between professional exterminators and their dealers. Visitors can take a first-hand look at products used in the Pest Control Industry, ask questions, and share some wisdom.

PestTech is organised by the National Pest Technician Association (NPTA), the largest UK professional Trade Association that represents all sectors within the Public Health and Pest Control Industry. Their membership body in the UK reaches over 850 individuals.

The event offers seminars, demonstrations and workshops on topics varying from “Waste Disposal” to “The Use of Dogs for Bed Bug Detection”. Part of the experience is the Pest Control News Workshops that brings the latest hot topics to the front and gives anyone a chance to voice their concerns or support for issues that have or will affect the Industry. PestTech itself is awarded with CPD points for professional development, so it’s definitely a plus for the specialists that will take part. There are great opportunities for future technicians such as training, legislation and help from practising professionals.

On a side note, there will be a refreshment area within the exhibition halls where you can find drinks and snacks. Also, within the Museum complex there is a very reasonably priced restaurant where you can enjoy a decent meal.

Pests are a matter that concerns us globally and locally. They might become a problem in all the areas of our lives – business or at home. Thus it’s important for communities to improve the Pest Control Industry. This will make its technologies significantly better. And events like PestTech make this progress possible. Bringing experts together to exchange ideas and strive to perfect their ways and means of work. Constant research and flexibility lead us to ground-breaking innovation against the pest menace.
